Hi everyone! I am a registered lactation consultant (IBCLC) in private practice in Edmonton, Alberta. I have been an LC since 2011 and have a lot of experience helping Moms and babies get breastfeeding off to a great start. I also work as a certified birth doula (DONA) and attended my first birth as a doula in 2003. I became a certified doula in 2006 and am very fortunate that I get to do such beautiful work supporting families as they bring forth a new child!

I have always, since I can remember, had a kind of awe about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and of course, those tiny newborn babes. I loved hearing my Mom tell me about my own birth and since she breastfed me, I knew it was something I wanted to do for my children as well.

After getting my degree in Environmental Science and Biology I married my University sweetheart and we had our first child. That experience with birth and breastfeeding didn’t go so well and I wanted to know why. I learned as much as I could about both subjects and was so fascinated by all that I discovered that I have made it my career.

My husband and I now have 7 children and our life is wonderfully full and happy. But when my phone rings and there is someone on the other end needing help, I always find a way to get to them as soon as I can. I have been there myself, struggling to breastfeed or needing support through my own births so you can feel confident that when you work with me, you will be getting highly personalized care by someone who wants to see you succeed. I’d love for you to remember the births of your children and the time you spent breastfeeding them with incredible fondness.
